Stay Safe – Northampton U3A present a free financial fraud workshop

On Thursday 22nd March at 11am, Northampton U3A presents a one hour workshop on how to keep yourself safe from financial fraud. The event will take place at the new National Leather Collection in the Grosvenor Centre, Northampton.

Representatives from Northamptonshire County Council Trading Standards Service and Northants Police Economic Crime Unit will give us some simple tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of the fraudsters, what to look out for and what action to take if we are not sure if an organisation contacting us is genuine.

This free session is open to anyone, and tea and coffee will be provided. Free admission, no booking required.

Andy Langford from Trading Standards said: “There are just 5 simple steps that you can take to keep yourself safe from fraudsters.”

Pat Reeve Chairman of Northampton U3A said: “U3A’s motto is Learn, Laugh and Live and this session will enable people to do all of this without the fear of falling victim to a fraudster.”

The National Leather Collection is located in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, Northampton. Our entrance is located off of the Market Square, opposite EuroChange. We are located on the 2nd Floor and are accessible by stairs or lift. Visitor information can be found here.
